$6.3 Million Lamborghini Aventador Rolls up in Paris
In today’s big cities, supercar sightings are practically a dime a dozen. A McLaren 650S here, a Lexus LFA there, and, of course, the ubiquitous Bugatti Veyron. But pull-up in a gold-plated one, and well … you’re bound to turn a few heads. This glimmering Lamborghini Aventador has been generating quite the buzz this week as it prowls through the French capital during Paris Fashion Week. The Aventador, which wears Saudi Arabian number plates, is being billed as the most expensive car in the city and it isn’t hard to see why. Reportedly, the Lamborghini – suggested to be worth a staggering $6.3 million – has been plated in gold leaf, though we’d gander that it’s merely a highly lustrous wrap. Either way, you’re not bound to run into another one of these on the next street over.
The Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster sports Lamborghini’s bombastic 6.5-liter V12 engine, good for 691 horsepower and 507 lb-ft of torque, as well as a top speed of 217 miles per hour – a veritable golden missile at full tilt.

Though, if the driver decides to kick around Paris for another couple weeks, he or she might lose the title of Paris’ most outrageous car as the 2014 Paris Motor Show strolls into town. Patrons can expect to see the all-new Mercedes AMG GT and perhaps a glimpse of the Aston Martin Lagonda, among many others.
