Stolen Jaguar Recovered After Being Stolen 47 Years Ago

A week goes by, and you probably wouldn’t expect police to find your stolen car. But get this, LA customs found this uber pretty Jaguar E-Type on its way to the Netherlands, realizing it had been stolen 47 years ago. On March 13th, 1968, the Jag went missing in New York. The original owner, Ivan Schneider — who now lives in Florida — was completely shocked that they found his missing Jag. “This is just a miracle, a miracle. I was 36 years old then and now I’m 82. It was my first good car — and favorite.” RELATED: Check Out Photos of a Modern Lightweight E-Type Even more miraculous, alongside the Jag officials came across a 1969 Corvette, a 1976 Mercedes 280, a 2007 Mercedes E350 and a 2014 Camaro ZL1. Yup, all stolen too, and all headed to the Netherlands. Police still aren’t entirely sure who stole the car or how it got all the way from New York to LA without being noticed. But, Mr. Schneider is going to get his prized Jag back in his possession. And the first thing he’s gonna do is restore it.
