Man Riding from Sydney to London on a Vintage Motorcycle for Charity [Video]
If you haven’t already clicked the ‘Subscribe’ button on the Stories of Bike YouTube Channel, you owe it to yourself to do so. The Australian video series highlights the characters and personalities behind some of Oz’s best bikes, and the most recent episode is no exception. Meet Jonathan Gibson. He’s the proud owner of a 1969 Royal Enfield Bullet 350, and he’s on a globe-trotting road trip of epic proportions: Sydney to London. Crossing 23 countries on two wheels isn’t exactly an easy undertaking, especially on a 45-year-old motorcycle, but for Jonathan – it’s the only way forward.

Not long ago, Jonathan lost a close family member to suicide – not the first for him, and he fears not the last. In a note left behind, the young man revealed that he felt that he didn’t live up to expectations, a sentiment that caused Jonathan to ponder his own questions about life and what it means to be a man.
To find those answers, Jonathan looked to someone he’s always idolized, his grandfather, and has set out across the world on the same type of bike that his granddad owned at his age – a Royal Enfield.
The trip started March 16. As of Aug. 4, 2014, Jonathan has reached the island of Bali, Indonesia, and continues to make his way northeast to Malaysia and the mainland Asian continent.
