Jaguar F-Type Concept Proves Bike Transport Can Look Cool [w/Video]
Often times bikers are stuck with owning a Subaru Forester or some other type of SUV simply because they’re the best for hauling two wheels around. But Jaguar wants to make bike transport look cool, and with a Jaguar F-Type fitted with a bike rack, it looks totally awesome. Dubbed the F-Type Coupe R Tour de France concept, the new F-Type was created by Jag’s SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) department in honor of the 2014 Tour de France. Together with Team Sky, the Jag sports an iconic black and blue livery, as well as team graphics aplenty. PHOTOS: See More of the 2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe Tour de France Concept
Inside, the F-Type carries over the blue theming with bright blue racing seats, and a blue accented dash. While all this blue is definitely eye-catching, the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 producing 542 horsepower is the one thing that makes this bike mover really stand out from the others.
Continuing its partnership with Team Sky, the new F-Type will act as a support car. It will carry the team’s bikes, along with the team’s radios, horns, TVs and microphones sending communication from rider to sports director.
