Subaru BRZ Will Live On With Second Generation
Remember when we told you that Subaru might not build a second generation BRZ? Ok, forget all that noise. They are building a new BRZ, actually, and it’s still going to be with Toyota. Thank the sportscar gods. Speaking with the folks at Automotive News, Subaru parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries, president Yasauki Yoshinaga said that “If I were to be told that, I’d pass out,” in regards to killing the BRZ. “It’s not going to be just one generation.” PHOTOS: See More of the 2013 Subaru BRZ
Originally introduced in 2012, Toyota is planning a refresh of the coupe within the next few years. Early reports said that Toyota and Subaru would be parting ways after one generation due to a conflict of interests, but that seems to not be the case.
That's really good news, as we love Toyobaru twins. But when it comes to the Subaru BRZ STI, Mr. Yoshinaga— you’re telling me there’s a chance?
