When Luxury Dealerships Sell Their Private Collections, You Win
Some people collect stamps. Others chase bigger game and collect gas pumps. Marshall Goldman Motor Sales – as you can guess from the title – hunts down and collects high-end luxury cars, and they’re quite good at it. The company has dealt in performance autos of the highest caliber for the past 36 years, and maintains an inventory of more than 100 vehicles housed in a massive 25,000 sq. ft. showroom in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. If it came from the factory with quite a few cylinders and a six-digit price tag, they’re likely to sell it: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and more.
Now, that wouldn’t normally be pressing news, but this is. The dealership will begin opening closed doors and offering customers a chance to purchase cars directly from Marshall Goldman’s extensive, multi-million dollar private collection. Talk about feeling like a kid on Christmas morning.
The high-performance collection includes a wide variety of rare cars in pristine condition, including one of the world’s largest collections of air-cooled Porsches, as well as a 1988 Lamborghini Countach with only 4,900 miles (pictured below), and a 1992 Ferrari 512M Testarossa (#60 of 75). You can inspect the rest of the collection in the August issue of the duPont Registry.

It’s fitting given our celebration of Independence Day. We live in a country where – after hard work and years of perseverance – one can walk into a dealership like this, and walk out with a classic Countach or a hard-charging 911 Turbo. It would seem that the American Dream is surely alive and well in Ohio.
