UK Lambo Dealers Taking Deposits For Aventador SV That Doesn't Even Exist
People pay for a lot of crazy things that don’t even exist yet; like a trip to Mars, or that hoverboard from Back to the Future we were promised. But lately, some rich people have been putting money down to be on a wait list for a Lamborghini Aventador SV that doesn’t even exist in real life yet. According to AutoEvolution, the whole story spawns from a Gumball 3000 team that claimed the Aventador SV will be here “in the coming months,” of which they’ll be owning the first one. Obviously, we’ll have to take that this news with a grain of salt. But with the word out on the street, UK Lamborghini dealerships are taking advantage in a way only scumbag dealerships can. They’re currently receiving deposits of £10,000 ($17,000) so that customers may be put on a waiting list for when/if the Aventador SV comes out. And when/if it does come out, customers will have to put down triple the original deposit if they do want the car for sure (plus the price of the car). Insanity. Who knows, maybe those dealers have some inside info that we don't. And admittedly, for such an exclusive car that is alleged to be the next best thing since sliced bread, it’s understandable people are excited. But we can’t condone putting down $17K on a car that Lamborghini hasn't even said is happening yet.
Whatever the case may be, the new Lamborghini Aventador SV should be here sometime soon — probably closer to 2015 — if at all. Exactly what kind of power it will have or what it will even look like is still strictly confidential.
