2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb: Recap [w/Videos]

Yesterday marked the 92nd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb presented by Broadmoor hotel. And like every year, veteran and rookie drivers alike made it another event worth remembering. First and foremost, we take a minute to remember Bobby Goodin, who lost his life when his Triumph motorcycle careened off the side of the mountain. It’s the first death at Pikes Peak since 2005. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Goodin family. PHOTOS: See More of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV Evolution
2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb: Recap [w/Videos]
Amongst some very sad news, there was a bit of good news for all of this year’s racers taking to the hill. Of note was Mitsubishi’s tag team in the i-MiEV electric racer, Greg Tracy and Hiroshi Masuoka, along with Gas Monkey Garage’s Aaron Kaufman in his custom Ford Falcon. All three making impressive runs, especially for Kaufman who posted a 12:53.892. Not half bad for a rookie.
