Production Jaguar F-Type Project 7 Leaked Ahead of Goodwood? [UPDATE]
Jaguar promised it would have something special to show us this weekend at Goodwood. This looks pretty darn special. What it appears to be is a production version of the F-Type Project 7 we saw back in 2013, but the verdict is still out on that one. We found these photos online and it clearly shows a difference in design from the original concept. Other than the bright blue paint job now turned racing green(ish), the Project 7 features new wheels, room enough for two, and even removal of the number 7 throughout. There’s no word on exactly what kind of power will come from under the hood. We would expect though that Jag would put to use its already powerful supercharged V8 found on the current F-Type, or even a supercharged six.
Could this be a track only special? Or is it more along the lines of a street-legal track toy? We’re not sure just yet. Stay tuned for more details as Jag is sure to announce this in full in the coming days, with a live unveiling in Goodwood.

It's official, Jaguar is in fact putting this gorgeous roadster into production. Only 250 units will be built each at a cost of £135,000 ($229,000), with 567 horsepower coming from a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. 0-60 mph is managed in only 3.8 seconds.
Each vehicle will be hand-built by Jaguar's new Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) department and are expected to go on sale later in the year.
