Ford’s Unveiling A Refreshed and Diesel Focus ST This Weekend [w/Video]
The Ford Focus ST is one of the best little hatchbacks around, but don’t tell fans of the Volkswagen GTI. With power and looks, it’s pretty much about as good as it gets for the price. But it’s about to get slightly more better. This weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Ford has announced the introduction of a tweaked new Focus ST that will run in the “First Glance” category for the hillclimb event with Ben Collins (aka, The Stig) at the wheel. As if that wasn’t interesting enough, Ford will also officially announce the introduction of a Focus ST diesel for European markets. Whether it will make its way to the U.S. has yet to be seen. Other cool things happening for Ford this weekend will include the presentation of the new Ford Mustang GT at Goodwood, with a running in the “supercar Class” for the hillclimb, and the new convertible also on display.
The new Focus ST is set to hit markets early in 2015, with what looks to be a minor refresh, and what we can only assume to be some power, suspension, or interior tweaks. Or all three.
Be on the lookout this weekend at all Ford has to offer.
