World's Largest Paper Airplane Soars over the Arizona Desert [video]

It has kind of become a rule of thumb that if Red Bull or GoPro is tied to a project, it is probably going to be pretty cool. In this case the latter is covering the world’s largest paper airplane, Arturo’s Desert Eagle.

The Desert Eagle measures 45 feet long and is 26 feet wide. It is constructed out of– you guessed it– paper. For a vehicle of flight made out of such a lightweight material, weight is key, where is where the small GoPro HD Hero2 comes into play, and is shot entirely with the small cams:

The airplane is lifted by helicopter and then dropped over the Arizona desert. We expected it to gradually descend (as it did), but we did not expect it to break apart (as it did). Then again, it is made out of paper.
