2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo Teased Ahead of ZDAYZ
Over the last year, Nissan has been expanding its NISMO performance brand quite extensively including the Nissan GT-R Nismo, Nissan Juke Nismo RS and even the Nissan Sentra Nismo Concept, but it’s all coming full circle with a fresh, sporty looking version of the Nissan 370Z. Other than being referred to as a "special global NISMO debut," the exact details about the 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO are slim, but it will be unveiled at the 2014 ZDAYZ – an enthusiast event in North Carolina celebrating the Nissan Z car and the Infiniti G. The Nissan 370Z and its NISMO model are already coming off midcycle updates last year, so it isn’t likely the changes will be that substantial. Still, when the 2015 Nissan 370Z NISMO is revealed at 1pm today, it will definitely show off a more aggressive look than what we’ve seen from the recent 370Z NISMO models. All we can definitely tell from this picture is that the front fascia will now tie in closer with the aforementioned GT-R NISMO and Juke NISMO RS with a bright red chin spoiler, a larger grille opening and fascia vents cut beneath the new LED daytime running lights. It looks like a new set of twin-spoke wheels are part of the plan as well.
In our dream scenario, this teased Z could even be a new 370Z NISMO RS pumping out even more power from the Z’s 3.7-liter VQ V-6. In the current 2014 370Z, this engine rated at 332 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, while the NISMO gets even more grunt to the tune of 350 hp and 276 lb-ft. The 370Z NISMO also gets its own sport-tuned suspension, aero body kit and sporty interior design.
