Porsche Cayman GTS, Boxster GTS Show Off In Beijing
With the Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS having been announced almost a month ago, it might be easy for the Porsche duo to get overshadowed at the Beijing Auto Show by the likes of a few China-spec giants. In person, though, these souped-up Porsches are hard to miss and are definitely worthy of China's spot light, and we can’t wait to slink in behind the wheel of both when they go on sale this summer. Porsche’s GTS heritage runs deep with performance, and these new models stay true to that with each model getting an additional 15 hp and 7 lb-ft of torque. This gives the Cayman GTS total output of 340 hp and 280 lb-ft compared to the 330 hp and 273 lb-ft available in the Boxster GTS, and the extra power and lighter weight allows the Cayman GTS to hit 0-60 in just 4.3 seconds – 0.1 seconds faster than the Boxster GTS. Helping improve the performance and handling of both cars, the Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS both come standard with a sport exhaust, Sport Chrono package and Porsche Active Suspension Management.

At the show, the styling differences on the GTS stand out even more. The tinted headlights and taillights give the cars a meaner overall look as do the aggressive front fascias, while the standard 20-inch wheels help provide a sportier stance. Priced about $10,000 more than the Cayman S, the Cayman GTS starts at $73,500, and if open-air motoring is more your thing, the Boxster GTS starts at $75,200.
