Spyker Confirms New C8 Aileron, SUV
As Spyker’s global rebuilding and rebranding strategy continues, the automaker is introducing its new B6 Venator only next year. But not without a few other surprises along the way. How does an updated C8 Aileron and SUV tickle your fancy? In our exclusive interview with Spyker Chief Commercial Officer John Walton, the CCO confirmed more than just the B6 Venator for 2015. The Dutch automaker hopes to introduce a three-car lineup in the next few years, including an updated C8, and an SUV: RELATED: See Photos of the 2011 Spyker C8 Aileron
“The dream scenario is a three car lineup, with the Venator being the 'entry-level' car, and then the C8 Aileron being the supercar. And of course somewhere down the road, we would love to bring the SUV to market.”
While the C8 hasn’t seen a major update in its nearly 14 years on the market, Spyker has never put an SUV into production. But, we did see the D8 SUV concept which could likely portend a new mid-engined SUV. Both the C8 and SUV will receive a singular design direction based on the B6 Venator:

“If Victor [Muller] was on the phone, he would have told you that he’s already started to sketch an updated version of the C8. And once the Venator program is up and running, we will turn our attention to the C8. We want to have that car to market as soon as we possibly can after the Venator. And what will happen is- what carries over from Venator will flow into Aileron.”
Walton didn’t give us a date on either of these projects, but we can expect a new C8 Aileron hopefully by next year, with an SUV coming at a later date.
