The Toytown Coupe is a Real Life "Little Tikes" Car! [w/ video]
Do you remember the toy cars you had growing up? There was the awesome Big Wheel, and then there was the “Little Tikes” car. Do you ever wish you could relive some of those moments, wheeling around the back yard? Well a company in the UK has built that opportunity for you. It is called the Toytown Coupe, and it is built by Attitude Autos of Ambrosden, England. The car is meant to look like the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, and it starts life as a Daewoo Matiz (a re-branded version of the older Chevrolet Spark). The donor Daewoo has some perfect elements to make it the base for the Toytown Coupe, including the happy headlights, and small proportions. VIDEO: Adult-Sized Little Tikes Takes to the Road
The base car cost £400, but the 1,000 hours of labor was the real price. John Bitmead is the founder of the relatively new Attitude Autos, and John wanted to build a vehicle that could showcase his talents. The lengths to which his team went to make the car look authentic are amazing.
The roof was removed, the passenger doors were sealed up, and the front and rear driver’s side doors were replaced with one large door. The rear seats were removed and the front seats were replaced with hard plastic– just like the real thing!

The Toytown Coupe was actually reviewed by the folks at AutoExpress, and they liked the way it handled– and probably didn’t mind the attention either! The team poured about $60,000 into the project, and are making it back by renting out this wild ride. So tell us, would you rent the Toytown Coupe? Or is is just too strange? Let us know in the comments.
