Arash AF8 Supercar is the Corvette’s British Cousin
UK-based Arash Motor Company has been teasing a successor to its AF10 supercar we saw back in 2010. Now it’s official — the automaker’s latest bold and beautiful yellow supercar is here, the AF8. And it’s making its world debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Like many upstarts supercars before it, the AF8 uses a Corvette-sourced 7.0-liter V8 with somewhere in the market of 550 horsepower. The gearbox is a classic six-speed manual, sending power to the rear wheels. PHOTOS: See More of the 2010 Arash AF10
The AF8 will jet from a standstill to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, and top speed sits in excess of 200 mph (322 km/h).
While the performance is impressive, it’s the body that really sets this car off. The evolved design from the AF10 brings the AF8 a cleaner, more sophisticated set of lines. The chassis was developed using high-tensile tubular steel that brings the total body weight to only 2,645 lbs (1,200 kg). Other features include bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, and titanium exhaust.
As mentioned, the AF8 will make its world debut next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
