The Volvo Estate Concept is Crazy Beautiful [w/ video]
Volvo has been trotting out some epic new concepts foreshadowing its future product. The most recent installment is the Estate Concept, and man, does it look crazy-beautiful. The exterior design is impressive, but the news is more than just skin deep.
The Volvo Estate Concept is the followup to the impressively striking XC Concept, and while the latter foreshadowed design elements of the XC90, we suspect the Estate is a portent of Volvo hatches to come.

The ES badging is a nod to the Volvo the 1800ES, the shooting brake version of the lovely Volvo P1800. The 1800ES is a favorite for many car aficionados, including myself. The shooting brake body style of the Estate concept is something that we may or may not see in an actual production car. A five-door wagon is more likely, and this seems too big to be the basis for a future C30. That said, consider our fingers crossed.

Inside the stunning visuals continue. The dash has little touches like the tiny Swedish flag, but it is the touch screen system that dominates the cabin. Rumor is this Tesla-like interface will be making its way into future production Volvo’s. Heck the more elements from the Estate Concept that end up in Volvo dealerships, the better life will be for Volvo.
