2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe has Swarovski Crystal Headlights
Meet the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. The replacement for the full-size CL-Class is painfully gorgeous, costs $116,000, and just took the BMW 6 Series out behind a barn to teach it a lesson in style and grace. This is (or will be) the prettiest car on the road right now. Hands-down. Like the CL before it, the S-Class Coupe is perhaps the most pure expression of Mercedes-Benz styling trends. The long profile and clean sides mean that any style choice is magnified, much like the powerful front end and chiseled character lines that run the length of the 198-inch-long super-coupe. The standard S500 Coupe comes with a 4.7-liter biturbo V8, making 455 horsepower, sent to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive 4Matic model makes 449 horsepower.

A wild element to the S-Class Coupe is the headlights, which features an available 47 Swarovski crystals built into them to refract light for the driving lights and corner signals. They do not actually throw light and are a bit of a cheesy touch, but the ultra-luxe world is weird, and people will pay good money to have outdated phones fitted with crystals.
The design of the headlight is powerful though, and if you look at the front end, it visually connects one of the character lines to the bottom of the front grille. Kudos to the Merc designers on this one.

The same praise can be given for the interior, where the large space allows for dramatic styling. The massive navigation display resides in the center of the dash like a drive-in movie screen, and is flanked on the left by the fully digital instrument panel. In the center console is the new controller for Mercedes’ COMAND system.
There is a short list of cars that we'd like to drive this year: a week with the new Chevrolet Colorado, a few laps with the Cadillac CTS Coupe, but all we would need is 5 minutes with the S-Class Coupe to fall in love.
