Bugatti Planning Second-Generation Veyron With Even More Power
If you wanted a Bugatti sedan — it’s not happening, despite the rumors. Sitting down in a recent interview with Autocar, Bugatti President Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber said plain and simple, “The Galibier is officially dead. We won’t do it.” Fair enough. So what are those crazy French (well, the name might be French, but there are a whole lot of Germans hard at work at VW's high-end performance subsidiary) planning going into the next few years? A new Veyron, with even more power. In the same interview, Schreiber said that a new Veyron is already under development. And this latest and greatest hypercar will “redefine the benchmarks” of the current Veyron. Also, it will undoubtedly come “with more power.”
As of yet there are no specifics on what kind of power we should expect from this beast. But if we’re to believe any early rumors, this “Super Veyron” will sit pretty with 1,500 horsepower and a top speed of 280 mph. Now that’s fast.
