Your Ride: 2011 Audi S5
One of the great things about social media is that it provides us access to some of the coolest car guys around. Take our new friend Linh Pham (@AudiForLife), for instance, who we met through Twitter and quickly learned of his Audi obsession. Pham is winner of Audi's #WantAnR8 campaign, founder of the AudiForLife.com website, and most importantly, the proud owner of an Audi himself. It's all Audi all the time. So when Linh told us of his gorgeous 2011 Sprint Blue S5, we thought it was the perfect ride to feature here. Check it out:
How did you acquire your ride?
Since I wanted the S5 the way that I wanted, I placed the deposit on the order for my Audi S5 at a local dealer. On my birthday, no less.
What drew you to it when you bought it?
Ever since seeing the Audi A5/S5 photos at its launch back in 2007, I started lusting and dreaming about owning one. Everything from the curvaceous lines, to the brilliant LED daytime running lights, to the interior, it tugged at my heartstrings.
Over the following years, I started playing around with the idea of buying an A5 3.2 S-Line. When Audi discontinued the manual in the A5 3.2, I started pricing out an S5 and found it to be within my means. Seeing a Sprint Blue S5 in person just sold me on it.

Does it have a name?
My S5 is called “Dalek 5” after the creatures in Doctor Who. The idea behind the name was to exterminate the miles of roadway and possibly other cars. It is just coincidence that one of the colors of the new Daleks in Doctor Who is blue.
What do you feel when you drive it?
Driving the S5 seems to enhanced my feelings of being excited and elated behind the wheel. At other times, I feel centered and like being at home– I can shut out the world, smile and just cruise around.
What would you change about your car, if anything?
I don’t think I would change anything in terms of how I would have ordered it.
What have you done to make it a bolder ride?
I haven’t done too much to make it a bolder ride, though I have added 10mm / 15mm spacers front and rear to help bring the wheels out a bit and give it a feel of filling out the wheel wells.
Dream accessory for it and why?
I think the dream accessory for my S5 would be an AWE Touring exhaust package, just to open it up and make that V8 sing the way it ought to.
