Toyota GT 86 (Scion FR-S) Gets the Four Door Treatment
The Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT 86 is one of our favorite cars of 2013. Problem is, if you're looking for a sports coupe that seats four, this isn't it; the back seats are all but nonexistent. But Toyota thinks there is a solution to this problem — add on two more doors. Of course, a four door FR-S/BRZ is still something Toyota and Subaru big-wigs are mulling over. But that didn't stop Remco Meulendijk of RM Design from virtually tacking on two more doors and making us want the thing.
Like the FR-S coupe, the four door concept seen here is — quite simply — a stretched out FR-S with rear seats. Which isn't a bad thing. If Toyota keeps to the formula with an FR-S four door, we don't see why it wouldn't fly off the lot. Hell, we'd buy one. But for now, the FR-S sedan is still only an idea. We just hope that if Toyota does decide to tack on two more doors, they tack on 50 or so more horsepower with it. PHOTOS: See More of the 2013 Scion FR-S
