Apple iGo Concept: Riding Into the Future
Apple, one of the most powerful brands in the world, has nearly done it all. Computers, iPods, iPads, TVs — you name, it they've done it. But there is one thing that former ceo Steve Jobs never got around to — a car. That's where design student Shane Baxley comes in, previewing what could have been with his futuristic Apple iGo concept car. Of course, this isn't your average concept. Power is conceptualized in the form of an electric motor, with a 0-60 mph time of only five seconds and an mind-boggling 300 mpg. Welcome to the future, indeed.
But the iGo isn't just a one trick pony. Set it up in iMe mode (pictured below), for days where you'd rather not take the subway to work. Swap it over to iUs (pictured above) to fit you and your sweetheart. And finally, adjust the roof and seats and use the iWe mode, for you, your wife, and two kids. It's the most versatile concept car around.
Controlled fully by Apple's Cloud Network, the designer says that the iGo would be a fully autonomous vehicle (that means no driving). So sit back, relax, and enjoy the future — Apple style.
