Artist Depicts Fantastically Warped Pontiacs in "Auto Aerobics"
When it comes to cars we’d like to have on a poster, it usually ends up being some sort of famous racecar or insane exotic, but we’d be happy to include this on our list. It is a conceptual rendering featuring several cars, hovering in unique formations, and it’s beautiful. The art was created by 3D artist and illustrator Chris Labrooy. His other works range from the impeccably accurate to the fantastically surreal. The project that concerns us, dubbed “Auto Aerobics,” most certainly errs on the latter.
The cars were once a trio of 1968 Pontiac Catalina Coupes, but have been stretched and contorted into these wild arrangements. As Labrooy’s project page says, “and roll…and stretch…and glide…and flex,” almost encouraging the vintage Detroit metal to warp in such fascinating shapes.

We would be very curious to see how such arrangements would play out with other cars. How about a Cadillac Eldorado, or a 1961 Lincoln Continental? The possibilities would be fantastic.
