Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo: Germany's Virtual Supercar
Gran Turismo 6 promises to be one of the most advanced racing simulators we've ever seen. For this reason alone, automakers are gearing up some of the sexiest virtual supercars we've ever seen. With that, the Mercedes-Benz unveiled the AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept exclusively for play on GT6. Designed by the Mercedes-Benz Research and Development Center in Sunnyvale, California, the front-engine, rear-drive layout gives a few nods to the now-outgoing SLS AMG. The concept even sports the signature gullwing doors.
Under the virtual hood, we're met with a 577 horsepower biturbo V8. All this power is paired to the aforementioned rear-wheel drive system and a featherlight 3,053 lb (1,384 kg) curb weight. To cope on the race track, the Vision was also fitted with a set of AMG's high-performance ceramic composite brakes. Of course, we didn't get a look at the inside of this futuristic concept, but Mercedes-Benz promises that is comes with an F1-inspired cockpit. These interior features include red integral sports seats, black flooring of the footwell, and center display floats above the racing steering wheel, just to name a few.
You can drive the Vision GT concept for yourself as it will be available for download on Gran Turismo 6 when it hits stores on December 6 for PlayStation 3 and 4. RELATED: See More Photos of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo
