Jaguar Reveals C-X17, The Brand's First SUV
Jaguar is really working hard at bringing on the new vehicles. The F-Type is obviously the biggest hit of the summer, while the XKR-S GT is a monstrous 545-hp sportscar. Now, the automaker's first ever SUV (at least in concept form); the C-X17, has been unveiled. This stunning blue concept is making its official live appearance tomorrow at the Frankfurt Motor Show, showcasing its new, all-aluminum underpinnings. Though, the XF sedan will be the first to receive this new platform when it arrives in 2015.
The C-X17 is a handsome look at things to come and a healthy new track for Jaguar. Alongside the F-Type and an upcoming host of refreshed new vehicles, Jaguar promises that future models will "deliver inspirational performance and offer the latest innovations in fuel-efficient technologies." Although, no official word yet on just what will power the C-X17, rumor has it the same V6 found in the current F-Type. As mentioned, the concept will make a live appearance in Frankfurt tomorrow alongside a lineup of new Jags. No word yet on if/when the SUV will make its way to the production line.
