Pagani Preps Exclusive Zonda R Evolution for Delivery
Since the Zonda's inception in 2000, it was immediately clear to everyone that Pagani was here to stay. The outrageous and gorgeous supercar soon became a cult classic in its own right, notching off the likes of Ferraris and Lamborghinis around the world. But with the Zonda ending production in 2011 in place of the faster and arguably better looking Huayra, Pagani was prepped to release a hoard of special edition Zondas onto the salivating consumer hopefuls. Like the Zonda R Evolution. Which very well may be the most hot flash inducing Zondas of them all.
Originally showing up in 2012 for the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Zonda R Evolution is now finding itself prepping for a limited run of five- that's right, five vehicles. Ever. And our friends at GTSpirit tell us that each one of these five track cars will carry a price tag of about €1.76M ($2.27M)- four of which already ordered. Lest you forget, the Zonda R Evolution comes with an 800-hp Mercedes-Benz V12, and a load of new aerodynamic adjustments which shave the curb weight to that below the Zonda R.
