1980s Pikes Peak Comes to Life in 'Climb Dance'
I have no idea how I did not know about the short film "Climb Dance," before just now, but here it is, in all its remastered glory. The film, which runs just under five minutes is pure beauty of the motorsport persuasion Set at the 1988 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb as Ari Vatanen pilots a modified Peugeot to a record time 10:47.77. "Climb Dance" has been remastered recently, and it sure makes us appreciate the performance gods of yesteryear.
The Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 GR featured all-wheel drive, and four-wheel steering. These Peugeots also won the Paris-Dakar Rally three times, between 1988 and 1990.
