VL Automotive, Wanxiang in Talks of Taking Over Fisker
Fisker is dead; I think we all know that by now. And amidst the CEO walking out on the company and a number of lawsuits courtesy of the U.S. Government, there still might be some tiny shimmer of hope at the end of this mostly bleak tunnel. Former GM CEO, Bob Lutz- founder of VL Automotive, lest you forget- and Chinese company Wanxiang, reportedly might be in the market for Fisker after all is said and done.
Reports from Reuters say that told in May, VL Automotive and Wanxiang approached Fisker with a "pre packed bankruptcy deal," which would eventually lend over control to VL and Wanxiang and make the bankruptcy process that much less straining. As far as we know, these talks are still ongoing between the three. Considering that Lutz is an avid anti-green movement type of man, we're not entirely certain what he wants to do with Fisker other than drop a bunch of V8's under the hood. Maybe they'll make a Karma "that people will actually want to buy."
