650HP BMW M8 Coming in 2016
BMW has been trying to largely revamp its lineup with a pairing of new concepts like the 4-Series and the X4- and in general, a whole new set of lines throughout. But sometimes it's more than just a nip here and a tuck there. BMW might be shooting for the moon with an M8 supercar, due sometime in 2016. Car and Driver is reporting that the Bavarian supercar will hit the lineup with some 650-hp via an eight-speed dual clutch transmission and a 4.4L twin-turbocharged V8. All nicely priced around €250,000 ($330,000).
BMW says that the design should carry some defining features of past (similar to the M9 concept seen here), but will maintain the use of lightweight materials like carbon fiber, aluminum, magnesium, etc. Look for more news on the project sometime in the near future as BMW continues development.
