Maserati Planning Alfa Romeo-Based Sportscar?
Maserati is really on the up and at 'em. A sexy new GranTurismo, a smaller 3-Series fighter in the Ghibli and a hardcore LaFerrari-based supercar in the works. Honestly, we're excited for the new Maserati. Now, things are about to a bit more exciting in the Maserati lineup, as the company is said to be planning an Alfa Romeo 4C-based sportscar of their own. Of which- reports indicate- they hope to sell close to 50,000 by 2015. Quite the ambitious bunch.
Maserati CEO Harald J. Wester told AutoExpress that a 4C-based Alfa is in fact "a nice idea," but didn't give any solid details as to when/if they would actually make this "idea" into more of a reality. An Alfa-based sportscar and a LaFerrari-based supercar? We'll keep a close eye on how these two develop, because it sounds like one hell of a lineup.
