Help This Couple and Their VW Vanagon Drive Around the World

When I was but a young lad, my family and I took a trip out to CA to see my uncle. He was an outdoorsy type, and owned a Volkswagen Vanagon. It was much more than a family minivan, and could venture many places. One of our Vanagon trips was to Kings Canyon National Park. I was 6, and being in the back seat, threw up multiple times. It was my first experience with car-sickness. We were also chased off our campsite by a bear. So, you can see, the Vanagon has a special place in my heart. Which is why I was pumped to hear about Brad, Sheena and Nacho. The latter is a 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon. The couple have quit their jobs and drove Nacho all the way down to the southernmost point of South America. From their, they put Nacho in a crate, and shipped it to Southeast Asia. Now the main challenge is driving through China, and they need your help. You see, for one to drive through China with a vehicle from outside the country, it will cost upwards of $19,000. So they have taken to the web to ask for help. You can find out more about this amazing adventure here. Image credit: Copyright 2013 Brad and Sheena Van Orden
