1974 Chevron B27/BMW F2 Racer is Our Kind of Classified

The folks over at Bring-A-Trailer know their way around vintage cars, both obscure, motorsport-bred or otherwise. Today, their find was of the motorsport pursuasion, in the form of a 1974 Chevron B27/BMW racer, which competed in the Formular 2 race series in 1974 and 1975. It was even once driven by famed racer James Hunt. In this current classic vehicle climate, cars that are unrestored or have a race pedigree are the the most sought after. While the vehicle has been completely restored (still a good thing), it has a race history, which gives it some added value. So does the fact that it has raced at the Nurburgring and the Hockenheim Race Circuit in Germany. The bid is currently at $35,300, and with 4 days, 8 hours, and counting- and the reserve has not been met. Even if the reserve is double that current bid, this seems like a pretty good deal for a piece of automotive history. Source: eBay via Bring-A-Trailer
