Mercedes-Benz GLA Crossover Concept Leaks Out Early
With the Shanghai Auto Show only three days away, all the SUV's and luxury sedans you can imagine are beginning to make their way into the limelight. The BMW X4 is no exception, and now the Mercedes-Benz GLA concept has come out to play earlier than expected. Set to make a production-ready appearance in Frankfurt later in the year, the GLA concept bears a similar semblance to how the crossover will look when it actually goes into production. All of these new design cues stemming from the new A- and E-Class, carrying over the design into the rest of the lineup in years to come.
Inside, the GLA borrows many cues as well from the A-Class including dash, steering wheel and all sorts of other trimming. Power will come from the same 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine found on the A250 starting off at around 208-hp, most likely topping off the range near 300 ponies paired to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. All this Benz is expected to go on sale early next year after the aforementioned appearance in Frankfurt in September. PHOTOS: See more of the Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept
