2013 BMW M9 Roadster Concept Is the Flagship BMW Should Build

Earlier this year, we showed you the splendidly swoopy BMW M9 concept by Razvan Radion. With a long, sloping hood and muscular fenders, it is everything that we hoped a BMW flagship could be. Perhaps the only thing missing from the previous grand touring coupe concept could have been the lack of a convertible roof...until now! Radion Design has gone ahead and cut the roof off the BMW M9, making for a spectacular and lavish convertible. We like. Radion offers no technical details, other than to say that it would have a powerful V8 worthy of the vehicle's size and performance. We can get with that, and would have to imagine that spells the twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 from the M6. That engine puts out 580 horsepower, but we could see this powerplant tuned out to even more power! BMW has been glaringly absent from the high-end supercar game. Its last foray was the BMW Z8, but it has been out of production since 2003. Now, ten years later, it is high time for BMW to start playing with the big boys again. An M9 such as this one is a great place to start. PHOTOS: See more of the 2013 BMW M9 Roadster Concept by Razvan Radion Source: Radion Design
