Does SVT Raptor Special Edition Mean Its End is Near?!
The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is arguably one of the greatest vehicles ever devised. Have a hard time believing that? What other vehicle can go more places around the world right off the dealer lot? Yeah, your Veyron can't handle the frozen tundra, neither can your Pagani decimate the untamed regions of the Rockies. The Raptor is a vehicle to rule over all others, and with the 2014 Ford SVT Raptor Special Edition, it just got better. The Special Edition Raptor has all your favorite goodies, like a 6.2-liter, 411-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 and specialty FOX Racing shocks, but ups the ante with a Ruby Red paint color, unique graphics, and black seat bolsters. Also for 2014, the Special Edition gets a revised center stack, including new audio and climate controls. If this change makes its way across the Raptor lineup, it would be a very attractive addition to the F-150 lineup.
We have to worry- as performance and limited-run vehicles like the Raptor don't last forever. Moreover, when these vehicles come to the end of their production run, automakers tend to roll out the special edition models. So, while this is mere speculation, we could be seing the end of the SVT Raptor...hey, at least it lasted longer than the BMW 1 Series M.
