Vauxhall VXR8 Estate: The Corvette-Powered Wagon We'll Never Touch
We Americans have all but given up hope on the wagon. What was once Clark Griswold's vehicle of choice, turned into an atrocity on wheels. But who cares, the Country Squire is dead and so is Chevy Chase (not really…yet), so can't we all just move on to bigger and better things? Like this- the Vauxhall VXR8 Estate. We won't get it, obviously, but the UK-born estate comes packing some 427-hp via a Corvette-sourced 6.2L V8. 60 mph is managed in only about 4.9 seconds and top speed is limited to 155 mph only by electronics and the queen.
On the outside, the VXR8 is quite the looker. Draped in a baby blue paint job, the wagon comes with set of massive wheels, an aggressive fascia good for sucking in tons of air and/or slow children and a set of curves in the rear to which the Kardashian family aspires. It's all just on big great blue people-moving, fun-having, American-scorning piece of wagon ass. PHOTOS: See more of the Vauxhall VXR8 Estate
