Unboxed: The Porsche 918 Spyder Buyer's Brochure
This weekend, a large, narrow box, with "918 Spyder" emblazoned on the cover arrived at BoldRide HQ. Our interest was considerably piqued. We get all sorts of mail from the automakers, digital or otherwise, but seldom is a legit package shipped from an OEM. This was rather interesting.
Upon opening the package, we found a thick folder, with an outline of the 918 on the cover. This could only mean one thing; it HAD to be an invite to the Porsche 918 Spyder preview. Following the incredibly outlandish invites to the Corvette Stingray debut, this must have been Porsche's preview. We tore the thing open like a heavy box on Christmas Morning.
What we found was not what we had hoped, but it was still pretty awesome. It seems that we landed on a list of prospective buyers for the 918 Spyder, and Porsche sent out this brochure to entice new business. We're flattered that they would think us a prospective buyer, but we'd prefer to drive the hypercar-hybrid for free. Anyways, here are some images of the hardcover brochure:
