Designer Envisions LaFerrari-Based Maserati Concept
With the introduction of the latest and greatest Ferrari LaFerrari, it came as a bit of interesting news that little sister Maserati was planning to use the LaFerrari base for a LaMaserati hypercar of its own accord. Succeeding the long lost MC-12, of course. Now thanks to some clever photoshopping and a bit of re-branding, this LaFerrari-based Maserati concept by designer Anton Gjorsev is the LaMaserati that we've all been dreaming of.
As mentioned previously, the MC-12 succeeding LaMaserati (as it's been so cleverly nicknamed), will share nearly identical underpinnings to the current LaFerrari, all the while ditching the hybrid technology in place of some sexy supercharging, turbocharging, or otherwise. While details on the new Maserati are still slim, the supercar is expected to wield a quad-turbocharged 3.8L V8- the same one found on the Quattroporte- and chime in just under the LaFerrari in terms of power. At any rate, we hope it looks something like this. Source: Anton Gjorsev
