Lexus LF-LC Headed for Production
If you've been aching for something– anything– to replace your undying love for the long-lost Lexus LFA, the LF-LC might be your next option. Chatting it up with Ward's Auto at this past weeks New York Auto Show, Lexus let slip that the much-loved LF-LC will be sitting pretty in the Lexus lineup in the relatively near future. Lest you forget, the LF-LC was originally a concept revealed at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show for design study purposes only, but it wasn't until everyone got on their knees and essentially begged Lexus execs to build it, did it receive any sort of consideration.
While Lexus officials didn't say when the LF-LC would be headed for production, with the LFA bowing out of the lineup officially last December, it stands reason to believe we'll see a new sporty Lexus sometime soon. Early pricing estimates indicate that when produced, the LF-LC could bring in somewhere between $100- and $130K, putting it smack dab in the middle of the top-end 911/Acura NSX/McLaren P13/Ferrari 458 fiasco currently unfolding. But then again, if it's anywhere near the LFA in terms of quality an performance capabilities, and maintains its deadly shape, there's no reason that it should be outsold in the segment.
