2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk: Is This Better?
When Jeep officially revealed its all-new Cherokee only a few weeks ago, it was hit with some heavy criticism regarding the 'euro-inspired' headlights and front-end. Naturally, many saw it as an unworthy successor to the classic Cherokee of past. But Jeep isn't convinced. While they have made it abundantly clear that the current Cherokee does sit on an Alfa platform, they stand by the design team and what some would say to be their questionable design choices.
Now, as the New York Auto Show has officially opened its doors to the wide-eyed press, already a special edition of the SUV has rolled out to ease the pain; the Cherokee Trailhawk. Similar only in name to the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk concept prepping for this years Easter Jeep Safari. With an aggressive personality, the Cherokee Trailhawk sports more off-road capabilities ranging from a revised front and rear fascia, updated wheels and tires, a ground clearance of 8.7-inches to a certified "Trail Rated" stamp of approval. With all these revisions, this adds an aura of American-badassery to the Euro-inspired design. At any rate, we think the Cherokee Trailhawk will definitely stand out in a crowded room.
