Next-Gen Spyker C8 Aileron Going Supercharged?

While the B6 Venator may have been the star of the Spyker booth at this year's Genenva Motor Show, the Dutch company isn't one to forget its current (and only) vehicle in the lineup; the C8 Aileron.

The low-volume luxury supercar was introduced into the Spyker lineup back in 2000, since then, the 400-hp Audi-sourced V8 has become a thing of the past. New reports from Road & Track indicate that the next-generation of the C8 might ditch the Audi V8 in place of something a bit more efficient, and supercharged.

In Geneva, John Walton, Chief Commercial Officer at Spyker, told, "[The Audi V8] really hasn't got enough bang for the buck. To be honest, every supercarsr needs to have something that begins with a '5' today. That's why we're supercharging the car in the future which will take it to over 500-hp."

While the use of a supercharged 6-cylinder is a possibility, the company has yet to give any official details as to what the next-generation C8 (or B6) will house in the engine bay.
