Alfa Romeo 6C Concept: A Ford Mustang in an Italian Suit
It's no shock to us that the American born muscle car craze was something that took a bit of a trip overseas in the mid 70s. Many European companies taking the large body design cues from the likes of Ford and GM. And for good reason. But now, as the muscle car has grown to become something more of a novelty rather than a forceable segment, the idea of an Italian-born Alfa Romeo muscle car most definitely stirs up some interest. Especially considering Alfa Romeo's return to the states.
The Alfa Romeo 6C- designed by IED Torino student Alex Imnadze- combines both Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette muscle car body styles with signature set of Italian lines form Alfa Romeo. Up front, the sharp and angular fascia is instantly reminiscent of classic Alfa design, yet the large and muscular body frame seem more derived from an American-born factory. Alex didn't add any performance figures to his design, but we think a Coyote 5.0L V8 would fit in quite nicely. PHOTOS: See more of the 2013 Alfa Romeo 6C Concept Source: Alex Imnadze via Carscoops
