Swagon: Aston Martin DB6 Shooting Brake Headed for Auction
This is the Bond car that never was (but totally should have been); the Aston Martin DB6 shooting brake. It's a prime candidate for one of the most arousing wagons ever created, and surprisingly, has spent most of its lifetime a collectors piece of enthusiast Ed Herbst here in the U.S. Only the second exclusive wagon variant ever built by Aston Martin- after the 12 examples of the DB5 shooting brake, the DB6 shooting brake was made even more exclusive having only 6 original ever built. Brand new in 1965, the wagon addition to the DB6 costed then owner James Harrison only an extra two grand to convert, which was a $2K well spent, we would say.
Now finally, after a 20 years worth of parking, the 325-hp Aston wagon is now ready to be auctioned off later this month at Bonhams in Boca Raton, Florida. Bring your checkbooks people.
