Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is a Handsome Bundle of German Power
There are hot-hatches and there are hot-hatches. The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG falls into the latter category, and is so badass that it hurts. Forget everything you knew about Mercedes. This has to be one of the most hotly anticipated hatchbacks in recent history. The new A-Class was one of the better looking new Benz's in the lineup, but thanks to a healthy coating of front-and-rear end aerodynamics, and aggressive new wheels from the scientists at AMG, the A45 is a handsome bundle of hot hatch goodness packed onto a Mercedes chassis.
Power comes from a 2.0L turbocharged flat-4 which produces somewhere in the neighborhood of 335-hp. All this power is paired to a SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The new A45 will officially break cover at the Geneva Motor Show next month, but sadly, won't be offered in the North American market. PHOTOS: See more of the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG
