More BMW M8 Rumors Emerge

Of women, Friedrich Nietzsche said, "They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent." We would say the same thing of BMW and the on-again-off-again rumors of a M-Supercar. The UK's CAR magazine has added the latest fuel to the rumormill fire with a story flaming that a 600-horsepower M8 Coupe be on the way. Consider us interested, yet skeptical. The car is supposedly coming to reality to celebrate the brand's 100th anniversary, and cites confirmation of the project from BMW M boss Friedrich Nitschke (hence our Neitzsche ref). The M8 would take the forthcoming i8 platform, but replace the 3-cylinder hybrid with a twin-turbo V8, capable of 600 horsepower. It would be positioned against the Audi R8. BMW forum F30Post points out that no specific sources have been named on this BMW M8 news, so take it an M-sized grain of salt! Source: Car via F30Post
