Thousands of Toy Trucks Donated in Wake of Mauled Pa. Boy

It’s extremely unfortunate to know that the Maddox Derkosh, at only two years old, was tragically mauled to death by a pack of wild dogs at the Pittsburgh Zoo this past Sunday. But in wake of tragedy, there is always hope. In honor of Maddox, rather than the ceremonial sending of flowers, the Derkosh family requested only that the grieving send over toy trucks in remembrance of their son, all of which, will then be sent to needy children in the area for Christmas. “We will never forget this as long as we live,” said funeral director William Slater in a statement as he stood mournfully over the dozens of toy trucks in the viewing room. What was and will always be a tragic event in this families lives, turned into a heartwarming gift of remembrance for others around them; truly, nothing better than that. Source: Yahoo
