RANT: I Can't Stop Staring at the New Lexus GS F Sport
Why? Beats me, because normally, I’m not really a sedan-y type person. In fact, I have these sick twisted fantasies sometimes that a herd of BMW 3-Series’ would follow each other off a cliff like a bunch of sheep…but I digress. The Lexus GS 350 F Sport is really good looking, and although it’s been a few months since it officially hit the market, it’s one of those new luxury sedans that seem to be popping up at every street corner...and I like it. It’s not like the other sedans; as BMW continues to get uglier and Mercedes and Audi continue to look like Mercedes and Audi, thank heavens someone at Lexus has a creative bone in their body. From the hand-stitched interior work done by origami pros, to the sharp and aggressive front fascia, and those simple, handsome taillights; everything just seems to flow into one sweet looking luxury-mobile.
Now, while I can’t say whether this car is actually a good car or not based solely on looks, according to some people who write about things, it drives less like a sponge and more like a car, which is a good thing. It’s sharper, it’s more responsive and you can even drift it; woopie! So, as Lexus grows more mature by appealing to people who are less mature (me), let’s hope that a high-performance BMW 5-Series smashing GS F is coming in the near future, then, I think we can all come together as one big happy family and say “Lexus is cool.” Well, apart from the LFA.
