Porsche 911 GT2 RS vs. Ducati 1199 Panigale in a 200 MPH Drag Race
It looks like the always-entertaining Chris Harris is back at it again. This time, he's behind the wheel of an equally awe-inspiring Porsche 911 GT2 RS. At 620-hp pulled from a 3.6L turbo flat-6, this $245K German sports car has very little rivals when it comes to the world of ultra-fast machines. Except, maybe this. A 195-hp Ducati 1199 Panigale. The Ducati, in its own right is the Porsche 911 GT2 RS of motorcycles. So then, a fair race indeed. As one would expect, the Ducati’s 0-60 is significantly quicker than the Porsche, giving it a momentous lead in any straight line drag race. But what happens when the mysterious realm of 180 mph is reached? SCHNELL: PORSCHE POWER! http://youtu.be/wael3IrPu44 With the tiny Ducati engine puttering out at just over 180 mph, the GT2 RS with a turbocharged flat-6 is more than capable of a clean pass, although, having to play catch-up clocked him in somewhere around the 201-mph mark. Moral of the story is, Chris Harris is still an awesome bastard.
