Ford Mustang Takes Home "Hottest Car" Award at SEMA
For years, the Mustang has been just one of many regulars of SEMA in Vegas. In that time, we’ve seen the good, the bad and the downright horrendous make their way onto the showroom floor. Surprisingly though, the much loved Ford Mustang has never taken home the top dog “Hottest Car” award, ever. In fact, the rival Camaro took it back to Detroit for the past two years straight.
This year, though, the Mustang came out swinging. With the corral filled with wild ponies, including Ford’s own twin-turbo Shelby Cobra Jet and the 650-hp Mustang GT developed by Mothers, Autosport Dynamics and RTR, it was hard to ignore just how ‘hot’ these turned up Mustangs really were. Including the highly sought after "Hottest Car" award, SEMA officials followed up with Hottest Truck, Hottest Sport-Compact and Hottest 4x4-SUV. PHOTOS: See more of the Ford Racing Mustang Cobra Jet
