2013 Aston Martin DB9 Brings More Power, Same Sexy
Aesthetically, as you can tell, not much has changed. A nip here, a tuck there and the replacement of the “outgoing” Virage badge sends the all new DB9 off the factory floor and into showrooms. But while this new Aston does have Porsche engineers looking like styling gurus, it’s never an easy thing to criticize an all new- hell, any Aston for that matter, because what engineers lack in creativity, they more than make up for in making the same stunning design even prettier. Available in both Coupe and Volante convertible body styles, the brand new GT car makes your rich guy car buying experience ever the more difficult.
To add to ongoing buyer frustration, aside from stunning good looks, the new DB9 brings a boost in power stretching the 6.0-liter V12 by 40 ponies, bringing total output to 510. In looks, the DB9 receives the aforementioned minor facelift, or what Aston Martin calls “A more lithe, fluid and pure form reminiscent of the outgoing Aston Martin Virage.” These minor tweaks range from a “chamfered,” smoother front fascia, to the introduction of Bi-xenon headlamps. Base price for the all new Aston starts at a cool $185,400. See more of the 2013 Aston Martin DB9 here
